Welcome to the new Bone Idol Dogs Blog featuring Dog Portrait Photography by Streatham Hill based photographer Yvonne Blume.
We kick off with a little dude that’s very close to my heart, my aunt’s Patterdale Terrier Cross rescue pup Lucky, here seen at 9 months old. We drove all the way to the Liverpool RSPCA to find a new companion for my aunt after her beloved Spezi, a Dachshund/Terrier cross passed away after a long and happy life.
The RSPCA do a great job, but it is truly heartbreaking when you say just how many dogs are collected every single week – many with little chance of rehoming. When we saw Lucky jumping up and down on the spot as if he was on a trampoline we just fell in love, and just a few short weeks later, he came to stay.
This is his first time experiencing the big wild world of the Welsh Coast and it looks like he is thoroughly enjoying himself. Posing on the lawn, he may seem like butter wouldn’t melt…
but he is king of all he purveys on the way to the beach.
Lucky is like a lone ranger on the beach..
And he’s not scared of big waves either.
